REMINDER: Deadline for Initial Comments on Procurement of BGS is Tuesday, September 5th

On April 12, 2023, the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (“Board”) issued a procedural order and initiated a BGS proceeding for the period starting June 1, 2024 (Docket No. ER23030124).  By July 3, 2023, the EDCs filed their proposal for the procurement of BGS.

Although the initial procedural schedule had initial comments from interested stakeholders on any aspect of the EDCs’ proposal due by September 4, 2023, given that September 4, 2023 is a holiday, initial comments will be accepted through September 5, 2023.  Comments should be submitted directly to the specific docket listed above using the “Post Comments” button on the Board’s Public Document Search tool. Comments are considered “public documents” for purposes of the State’s Open Public Records Act. Only public documents should be submitted using the “Post Comments” button on the Board’s Public Document Search tool. Any confidential information should be submitted in accordance with the procedures set forth in N.J.A.C. 14:1-12.3. Please include “Confidential Information” in the subject line of any email. Instructions for confidential e-filing are found on the Board’s webpage, https://www.nj.gov/bpu/agenda/efiling/.

Initial comments should also be filed with the Board Secretary and should be electronically served via email to parties on the BGS e-service list. Parties wishing to be added to the BGS e-service list may do so by emailing stacy.peterson@bpu.nj.gov.

Emailed or written comments may also be submitted to:
