On April 12, 2023, the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (“Board”) issued a procedural order and initiated a BGS proceeding for the period starting June 1, 2024 (Docket No. ER23030124). The Board directed the EDCs to file their proposals for the procurement of BGS no later than July 3, 2023.

The EDCs have filed with the Board their Proposal for the provision of Basic Generation Service for the period beginning June 1, 2024. The EDCs propose that BGS procurement be conducted through a statewide Auction Process that simultaneously seeks offers for all BGS Load in the state.

The filing is posted to the BGS Auction website:

• The joint filing - summary of the EDCs’ proposal, proposed Auction Rules, and Supplier Master Agreements;
• The calendar, including deadlines to provide comments to the Board in this proceeding;
• The BGS-RSCP Pricing Factors are in the BGS Data Room;
• The Company Specific Addendum for each EDC will be available here no later than July 3, 2023.
