On November 13, 2019, the BGS Auction Manager announced the RSCP Peak Load share for each EDC as well as the MW-measure of each tranche. These same figures were provided in the Final BGS-RSCP Rules. For JCP&L, it was noted that the RSCP Peak Load Share had been reduced by 10 MW because JCP&L was serving 10 MW of BGS-RSCP load associated with the St Lawrence allocation. BGS-RSCP bidders were put on notice that the Public Power Association of New Jersey had petitioned the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (“Board”) to receive the St. Lawrence allocation and that an update to the RSCP Peak Load Share would be provided as necessary to BGS-RSCP bidders upon a final determination by the Board regarding this petition.
On December 6, 2019, the Board issued an Order in this matter. Pursuant to this Order, JCP&L will cease serving the 10 MW of BGS-RSCP load as of February 1, 2020. Accordingly, the RSCP Peak Load Share as of February 1, 2020 will increase by 10 MW and this increase will become the responsibility of BGS-RSCP Suppliers.
The BGS Auction Manager will provide in a separate communication an update to the November 13, 2019 announcement to reflect the addition of the St. Lawrence allocation into the RSCP Peak Load Share for JCP&L.
